June Monthly Favorites
The month of June has come and gone and it’s already JULY which is prettyyy crazy because it means Christmas is only six month away (yay!). So let’s just skip the small talk today and jump right into this month’s favorites.
A Court of Wings & Ruin ($13.37)
I love all of Sarah J. Maas’ books but the first one I ever read was A Court of Thorns & Roses (then the Throne of Glass series) so I have a particular love for this series. If you haven’t read any of these books then you should stop reading my post and go buy it now. Here is a picture of the full series:
Anywho, so back to ACOWR. I really loved and enjoyed the final chapter of this story (I say chapter, not book, because there will be more spin-offs in the series) but I will admit that it slightly paled in comparison to ACOMF which is my favorite in the series. ACOWR ended Feyre’s story very nicely though. I highly recommend.
Rockano Essential Oil Diffuser ($42.95)
So my sis-in-law is a DoTerra rep and is always talking about the benefits of essentials oils so I finally decided to give them a try. One of the most fun and exciting parts about getting oils was picking out a diffuser. Amazon has a LOT of diffusers to choose from but none quite compared to the extremely fun and unique look of this one. The toffee color, which is a purply tan of sorts, is so pretty and I love how it looks with the light on. It comes in two other colors (blue and orange) which I put in the pictures above for comparison. BTW – the box it comes in (bottom left) has the blue version pictured on it, which had me quite worried when it arrived, but the toffee color was inside of it – phew! To check it out, click here.
La La Land Soundtrack Vinyl ($34.50)
So if you knew me well, you would know that La La Land is my 7th* (yes, 7th) favorite movie of all time. It is my happy movie but since I can’t watch it ALL the time the next best thing is playing the soundtrack all the time – on vinyl specifically. Click here to get yours – you will thank me. P.S. I have had extremely good luck buying vinyls on Amazon. Barnes & Noble has been about 50/50 with scratched vinyls but I’ve only gotten maybe one bad egg from Amazon plus they have such a good return/replacement policy that it isn’t a big deal. Oh, and obviously the prices can’t be beat. Buyer beware do NOT buy vinyls at Urban Outfitters – I literally haven’t gotten one from the physical store that isn’t scratched. Anywho, moving along to my next May fav…
Okay, so I got this t-shirt from Nordstrom this past month and I am obsessed (it’s technically a sleep tee). I want to wear it every. single. day. It’s super soft and comfy and the cut is really flattering. Plus the bonus is that it’s only $25 and Make + Model also has a 2 for $39 promo on some of them. The great thing is they come in regular and plus sizes too. Unfortunately, my size was sold out of the white and navy – such a bummer. It looks great with jeans or leggings. I’ll be keeping my eye on them to see if they come back in stock. You can check out all their styles here.
I’d like to consider myself a leggings connoisseur considering how many brands I’ve tried over the years. Beyond Yoga has become one of my most recent staples and now one of my all time favorites. If you are looking for a pair of quality leggings that are comfortable and flattering I definitely recommend them. Click here for more info.
So is this a mom shoe? Because I’m really not sure. Regardless, I’ve grown to really like it. It’s been good to have this summer paired with a shift dress for events or even jeans just for a night out. Cute, affordable and pretty comfy. Win, win, win. Check them out here.
Okay so this protein powder is the best thing that has happened to me since I started eating vegan about 3 months ago. Trav has used it for years and I just recently started using it and it’s SO good. This stuff is expensive though (like, really expensive) and there’s no way around it. Whole Foods, Sprouts, Amazon – everywhere Trav and I have seen it it’s expensive. He recently switched to buying it on Amazon because the price is typically better. It varies but there has been times it’s about 50% less compared to the stores. Also, they have a smaller version on Amazon as well. P.S. I will be posting a video soon using this in my oh-so-delicious Acai bowl.
DHC Velvet Skin Coat ($22.50)
Now for my last favorite for this month… I randomly stumbled across this while I was looking at highlighters online and thought it would be good to try under my foundation. My skin has a lot of impurities and I’ve always liked pore-minimizers that serve as a primer but have had issues with reactions a.k.a. them turning my pores into white heads or bumps. However, this product has not done that at all. It’s worked really well at smoothing my forehead area before I apply foundation and also has been great at minimizing pores on my nose and inner cheeks. I highly recommend it but want to put a little disclaimer that it IS quite a small bottle. Expect it to be about the size of your pointer finger (a little bit bigger maybe and minus the cap) but in all honestly I’ve had it close to two months now and it’s still lasting very well. You really don’t need that much of it. If you’re interested in checking it out click here.

Well. That’s all, folks. Hopefully I will have some exciting new finds for you to check out next month. I’m currently reading “Love Lives Here: Finding What You Need in a World Telling you What you Want” if you want to check it out instead of waiting for my review!
Have a great day, friend! And check back later this month for my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017 Preview & Favorites – Woowho!!
