It’s been a crazy week but it’s Thursday which means that tomorrow is Friday! Yay! On a day to day basis I usually wear minimal make up and if I do wear more I always gravitate toward just eye make up. In honor of Friday though I thought I’d share in detail what I wear occasionally as a more dramatic make up that’s still simple and classic.
Good afternoon! My two best friends’ birthdays are during summer so I thought it’d be fun to show you what I got them this year. I decided for both of them to do a themed gift box. First up is Danielle! We both love donuts (who doesn’t!) but she has been really healthy in her eating and exercising habits these past six months and has pretty much avoided them. So I went with a non-edible donut theme. Seriously, is there anything better than a donut?
The end of summer is approaching and with that comes a multitude of weddings every weekend. I still haven’t figured out why everyone loves labor day weddings so much but such is life and we will will suffer the heat together. This list is inspired by Possessionista’s blog post on what to wear to a wedding featuring affordable dresses from Lulus.com. My list is compiled of dresses from NastyGal.com all under $125.
I grew up on Disney and have a love for it that no other set of films can come close to during my early childhood. For me, Disney wasn’t just a set of films. It was a way of life. You didn’t just WATCH a princess. You became a princess and went to Disneyland where the other princesses lived. Of coarse, I then turned into a tomboy and you couldn’t pay me to wear a princess costume even though I still loved Disney. The difference was I probably would have rather dressed up as a Super Saiyan by the time I was eight. One question I love to ask people is “Who is your favorite prince?” and the most common answers have always been either Prince Charming or Prince Eric. Ironically, these are two of my least favorite princes. So lets take a journey down Disney of days past and discover who are truly the best of the best when it comes to the princes. Or at least in my humble opinion. You do you and keep on loving Charming if he’s your cup of tea.
With the announcement of the revamp and release of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire in a few months I thought I would take a journey down Pokemon memory lane. Click here to view the full list of Pokemon by number on Bulbapedia. As in all things, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have a special love for all the original Pokemon and actually don’t have a single Pokemon listed from Gen 2 and only one from Gen 3.
I’m obsessed with Geodes. They are completely unique and stunning in their own individuality and are years upon years in the making. When I was a child I of coarse had a rock collection and have always been fascinated with geology. As an adult my love for geodes has influenced the way I decorate as well as my jewelry designs. Here are a few of my favorite geode selections.
GUESS WHAT? Comic Con is here and that’s where I’m posting this blog from! Here is a rundown of what I’m hoping to get and other cool SDCC exclusives.
Hello friends! It’s mid July and guess what is around the corner…
SAN DIEGO COMIC CON
If you are reading this article it probably means that you have landed yourself the golden ticket, the elusive San Diego Comic Con badge! So you got lucky and are probably wondering why after all these years of trying you were able to get a badge. Well congratulations, as long as you make sure to set your alarm the morning of preregistration, you are set for life… or hopefully at least a few years.
EVERYTHING IS AWESOME! Well maybe not everything, but Lego games definitely are! Although I love a wide range of games consisting of anything from World of Warcraft to Tomb Raider; there is nothing like a fun, light-hearted multi-player game. Some of my favorites include Mario games and Super Smash but these days Lego games are my go to for fun nights of game playing. Didn’t you know that all 22 year old girls love to play Lego games while having Mike’s and Oreos.
It’s that time of year again… Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!!!
(If you are looking for the 2015 sale – you can find it here)
Let me just start off by saying, in my humble opinion, this sale never has and probably never will live up to the hype behind it because it’s essentially a well executed marketing tactic to buy items that will eventually go on sale in September. With that being said, I love the anniversary sale not so much for the “finds”, but mainly for the excitement around it. You have to admit, pure marketing genius allowing customer’s who have Nordstrom cards “early access” by letting them go behind the tented off areas a week before it officially starts.
