It’s that time of year again… Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!!!
(If you are looking for the 2015 sale – you can find it here)
Let me just start off by saying, in my humble opinion, this sale never has and probably never will live up to the hype behind it because it’s essentially a well executed marketing tactic to buy items that will eventually go on sale in September. With that being said, I love the anniversary sale not so much for the “finds”, but mainly for the excitement around it. You have to admit, pure marketing genius allowing customer’s who have Nordstrom cards “early access” by letting them go behind the tented off areas a week before it officially starts.
It’s summer time so that means days on end of lounging on the beach sipping tropical drinks, right? Well maybe for you but my summer looks more like Netflix in bed.

If you don’t have Netflix Instant, maybe stumbling across this article is a sign that you should get it! Well here’s a rundown of my favorite TV shows to binge watch.
I’m still nursing my wounds from the Netherlands loss today at the World Cup.. So let’s hope Germany wins it all and in the mean time let us talk about something that will make us all happy…
A N I M E
So recently I’ve become addicted to Anime. This isn’t so much a “starter guide” in the usual sense as I am by NO means an expert.. so here’s a look at how I’ve delved into this AMAZING genre that I had no idea even existed really. Seriously, where have I been? It completely blows my mind that I hadn’t even seen a single Studio Ghibli film until I was 22 years old. It’s really weird how I’ve gone to multiple cons every year, watched Pokemon and DBZ growing up, have a Tumblr, and have even played games like Final Fantasy.. yet I have NEVER watched an anime film. Well that has all changed!!! Now I can’t get enough. I’m reading my first Manga, watching several Anime films each week, own a couple AoT (Attack on Titan) shirts, and am now drinking out of a Totoro mug at my home office. I know, I know… this by no means makes me into an Anime Super-Fan… BUT I LOVE IT. Seriously the cuteness of it all. I can’t handle it. If like myself you are completely unfamiliar with Anime but need some advice on where to start, here is where I did.
